COASTAL EROSION Mudflows 1 2 3
Mudflows occur frequently in winter or when there are prolonged periods of wet weather. Sometimes they are like rivers of liquid mud/slip which can often flow across the beach out onto the foreshore.

Collector beware, the mud at Sheppey is dangerous in the extreme. several people have lost their lives, and many others have to be rescued from these mudflows. the collector who left these boots behind was lucky, all he lost were his Wellies
